The World is Flat: A short review

Just finished The World is Flat. I read the first edition that was published in 2005 and suspect that most people who are interested in reading it already have.

Anyway, if you haven’t read it, I would recommend it. The author, Thomas Friedman, discusses how globalization is impacting the United States as well as many other countries. He examines why some countries have been successful at it while others have not. And he suggests reasons why we should embrace and support globalization understanding that we must also change in the process to avoid being left behind.

The book tends to be a little repetitive and leaves many questions unanswered but the book definitely provides a good jumping off point for further inquiry into the global economy and its impact on our lives.
